Zhongjia Yu, Chinese orthopedist (1929 – Shanghai 27 April 2020)
Successfully made the world’s first reconstruction of a new perceptual and flexible handwith self-toes transfer to the amputated forearm stump known as China hand (1978)
Created the reconstruction of whole hand missing or all fingers missing
Developed free tissue transplantation with cross bridge vascular anastomosis
Developed free tissue combined transplantation to reconstruct the missing (1987)
Developed and improved procedures of toe-to-hand transplantation
