Abdul Kasim Mohamed Ghouse, Indian plant morphologist (Parangipattai, Tamil Nadu State 15 June 1933 – 2015?)
Described several taxa with multinucleate fusiform cells
Noted certain interesting correlations between cambial behavior and phenological events
Elucidated diagnostic anatomical features of a large number of softwood and hardwoods
Observed that the proportion of phloem that was actively conducted was noted to vary with taxa and even with the different positions within the plant axis
