Geography/Speleology

Discovered the Gran Caverna de Santo Tomas (1954), the second largest cave system in American continent with archaeological and paleontological discoveries

Archaeology

Discovered the eldest culture of the Cuban archipelago and one of most ancient of Caribbean region in the caves of Seboruco (Mayarí, Holguín) 1939

Studied the Guanahatabey culture in El guanahatabey, troglodita indocubano (1946) 

Discovered the Cuba’s biggest archeological monument at Guaney (Camaguey Province) consisting of a mound of earth, rocks and ceramic fragments that served as an altar for the Tainos
