Francisco de Paula Bicalho, Brazilian civil engineer (São João del Rei, Minas Gerais State 18 July 1847 – Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro State 18 November 1919)
With Aarão Reis designed and built Belo Horizonte city (1883-97)
Headed the works that improved Rio de Janeiro harbor (1904-10)
Managed the works of Rio Grande inlet (1909-15), recognized as the one of world’s most notable works in hydraulic engineering

Due to these works related above gained fame abroad as a harbor engineer
His brother, Honório Bicalho, civil engineer (Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais State 04 February 1839 – Rio de Janeiro 05 May 1886)
