Collected plants, animals, popular names, legends, old objects and medicinal uses along Nicaragua
Sent plant specimens to botanist William Maxon and Smithsonian Institute in United States
Invited by diplomat English Edward J. Thorson to work at British Museum (1904)
Obtained a silver medal in World Fair of Paris for high quality in dissected animals
Scientific collaborator, Kokaido Imperial Academy, Japan
