Presented his theory on convulsive uremia (1922) 

Proposed two new symptoms, the stomatic mycosis and hiccough of the uremic people to cardiac asthma (1926)

Described clinical forms of acidosis and related spondylosis to nutritional disturbances

First to describe peritoneal syndrome of acidosis and duodenal colic

Described Annes Dias syndrome combining hiccough, acidosis and oral candidiasis in Lições de Clinica Medica II serie, 1933.
