Joaquín Argonz Robecchi, Argentine clinician and gynecologist (Rosario, santa Fé Province 22 November 1898 – 1971)

From Spanish father and Italian mother 

He was governor of Santa Fé Province (1941-43) 

ACHIEVEMENTS

Introduced vitamin A in treatment of premenstrual tension. 

With Carlos Abinzano. Premenstrual tension treated with vitamin A. J. Clin. Endocrinol.  10:1579-90, 1950.

Described new syndromes. 

With E.B. del Castilo. A syndrome characterized by estrogenic insufficiency, galactorrhea and decreased urinary gonadotropin. J. Clin. Endocrinol. 13:79-87, 1953. 

Found the changes observed in smears of the urinary sediment closely parallel those seen in vaginal smears
