With C. R. Diniz isolated and characterized the active compounds of venom from Tityus serrulatus such as tityustoxin  

Isolated neurotoxin protein crotamine  from venom of rattlesnakes and studied its pharmacological properties

Developed new methods for protein isolation and characterization

Developed techniques of osmotic pressure, dilatometry and enzymes microtitration in tissue cuts
