Miguel Rolando Covián Bello, Argentine-born Brazilian neurophysiologist (Rufino, Santa Fé Province 07 September 1913 – Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo State 05 February 1992)

Known internationally for his studies on the limbic system physiology

One of the discoverers of the endocrine system control by several suprahypothalamic brain structures   

Obtained the first results indicating the importance of neural control of saline ingestion

Established the importance of limbic area for brain circuitry that controls the sodium appetite and hydro-mineral balance (1975)
