ACHIEVEMENTS
Discovered Australopithecus robustus (1938)
First to find septo-maxilla in the skull of tetrapods (1897)
Showed that in a foetal marsupial the cartilaginous coracoids process of the shoulder girdle reaches and articulates with the sternum (1897)
Gave first essentially complete account of the skeleton of any mammal-like reptile (1901)
Described new families and orders in Fossil Reptilia
