Wang Xuan, Chinese computer scientist (Wuxi, Jiangsu Province 05 February 1937 –Beijing 13 February 2006)
Invented a computerized laser photocomposition system for Chinese character photosetting (1979)
Invented a Chinese language laser typesetting system for color printing (1992)
Developed the high resolution glyph compression and restoration method for Chinese characters (patented in Europe EP0095536, 1987)
First to use controlling information to describe the features of width and turning shapes with strokes of Chinese character (patented in Europe)
Developed a management system for gathering and editing news
