Antoine Rouhaire most known as Brother Niceforo Maria, French-born Colombian missionarian and naturalist (Lavoute-Chilhaa village, Haute-Loire 28 February 1888 – Fusagasugá, Cundinamarca 24 February 1980)

Collected extensive biological material from Colombia and sent it to other researchers from which described 9 new genera (6 of them in Arachnida) and more than 130 new species as plants, arachnids, crustaceans, fishes, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fossils

Described two new Reptilia species Micrurus sangilensis 1942 & Synophis lasallei 1950
