His design of ascending highway of Rodovia dos Imigrantes (São Paulo State) gained international acclaim (1972)

Adapted and developed NATM method for tunnel excavation

His civil engineering company that Bears his surname was responsible for the biggest excavated tunnel in the world in Baixa Chiado Metro Station (Lisbon) in 1994
